Description |
The insect is a small
clear winged pest found on the underside of leaves.
Injury is displayed as yellow stippling on the upper
surface of leaves. Several generations per
year are possible which causes high populations of
pests as summer progresses. |

Life Cycle |
This pest is common to
Japanese Andromeda and injury can be quite severe
especially when this host grows in full sun.
This insect over-winters as an egg imbedded within
the leaf tissue. Hatching generally occurs in
early June. There are 3-4 generations per year
and activity is from late-May into September.
Feeding injury is displayed on the upper leaf
surface as severe yellow stippling. |
